2016 Shore Reports

Shore Report - Yellow Isle, 14th May 2016

There were nine anglers who took part in Saturday evenings match with clear blue skies and a strengthening NW wind which turned pretty cold for a while. Fish were being caught throughout the match with a few anglers doing better than others. The Yellow Isle normally fishes pretty well but on this occasion it performed well below par for some reason.

The results of the shore match at Yellow Isle on Saturday the 14th of May were as follows:

1st Iain Grant with 8 fish - 306pts
2nd Sandy Wason with9 fish - 247pts
3rd Nico Wilson with 6 fish - 158pts
4th Robert Edmund with 3 fish - 102pts
5th  Paul Brayden with 2 fish - 84pts
6th Malkolm Bletsoe with 3 fish - 78pts
7th John Wilson with 2 fish - 64pts

Shore Report - Innerwell, 30th April 2016

The results of Saturdays shore match at Innerwell were as follows:

1st Iain Grant -  533pts
2nd Sandy Wason - 268pts
3rd Nico Wilson - 196pts
4th Robert Edmund - 166pts
5th Shane Wilson - 139pts
6th Malky Bletsoe - 137pts
7th Paul Brayden - 132pts
8th John Wislon - 95pts
9th Frank Spiers - 35pts

Longest Fish - Robert Edmund - Thornback Ray 62cm

The catches consisted of mainly flounders, dogfish, dabs, plaice, codling & a thornback ray with everyone catching fish. The fish were caught throughout the whole match and from different marks at Innerwell which bodes well for future matches.

Well done to Iain for his win, which by his total catch was well deserved.

At the end of the match we drew out of the hat the team partnerships for this year and the teams were drawn was as follows:

Frank Spiers & John Wilson
Nico & Shane Wilson
Malky Bletsoe & Sandy Wason
Iain Grant & Paul Brayden

Some pretty interesting combinations here with the prospect of some serious competition!!

Shore Report - Windsock, Loch Etive 9th April 2016

The results of the recent shore fixture at the Windsock on Loch Etive were as follows:

1st Place - Malky Bletsoe 31cm - Cod. The rest of the anglers who attended didn't record any catches.

Malky was the only person to record a catch so well done to Malky and that puts him in 1st place with 36 points followed by Iain on 20 points.and Nico on 18 points.

Whilst this was a disappointing result for any venue there are still plenty of matches for everyone to get a result.
