Shore match 10/3/22

When arriving at Gourock the tide was not in which meant we would have to fish on the beach.

As one of the members could not get onto the beach we decided to move the match to Greenock for easy access to allow Malky to fish the event.

The match turned out to be a micro cod session in between pulling in lost lines from other anglers.

Jamie Nelson caught a nice Dragonet which would have been a new club record but unfortunately no one had digital scales with them as all fish are now measured.

Results are as follows

1st I Grant with 5 fish for 141pts.

2nd J Wilson with 2 fish for 55pts.

3rd T Magorian with 1 fish for 27pts.

This shore match did not fair well with the winds gusting and the water being clear. Fishing with fresh peeler crab could not tempt any fish. There were other anglers fishing and a boat was out in front off us. They did not have any joy either.

Frank did manage to land a fish for all his efforts. We will be back later on as it could be a bit early.
